womzillaOne of my favorite phrases ever was coined by Gary Trudeau: "To the '70s! A kidney-stone of a decade!"
Every December 31, I find myself reminded of that. Really, I've had worse years than 2004--2003, 2001, 2000, and 2002 all come to mind. But I hate ending each year thinking "This has been another kidney-stone." So let's have a good 2005 and keep the calcified bits of history out of the nephrons of our consciousness. Peace out.

Date: 2005-01-01 08:37 am (UTC)I didn't think I could have a worse year than 2003, and then 2004 came along. Maybe it will turn around for me this year. I hope.
My big hope for 2004, lovingly nurtured over four years is that my country would come to its senses but what a foolish notion *that* was, eh?
