This one bothers me every damn time I call them.

Yesteday I had to get a reauthorization for a refill on my nasal spray. Stupidly, I forgot that I can request that automatically through the CVS web site, so I call them on the phone. I call the direct line to the CVS pharmacy by my house--not the main store number, the pharmacy-specific number.

I get this voice-jail menu: "Thank you for calling CVS Pharmacy. To refill a prescription, press 1. If you are a doctor, press 2. To speak to the pharmacy, press 3."

I know from experience that pressing 1 will take me into the automated refill service--which is a great service, if I don't have a web browser, but there's no way out of it once entered. So I press 3.

Menu: "For pharmacy, press 1."

This makes three different ways I must indicate that I want to speak to a pharmacist before I am allowed to do so.

Arrgh! Utter morons. As someone who actually designs software for humans to use, I just want to press * on their RETINAS.

Even then, you still have to press 1 to show them you want to talk to the pharmacy, after telling them that you called the pharmacy and that you want to talk to the pharmacy.
