Repeating my own jokes and coining a useful new word

I'm quite proud of a recent post of mine on Spielfrieks (a mailing list devoted to "German-style" boardgames).

Someone said, "It's amazing what some people try to sell you these days! But most amazing is that there are people willing to buy (no offense!) these things..."

Someone else said:
"Not sure what you mean by 'these days.' [Examples of 19th century swindles deleted.]"

I responded:

"Since the invention of agriculture".

I remember back in the Paleokalic Era when you could buy a high-grade mammoth fur blanket and still get change back from a shiny rock.

("Paleokalic" is fractured classical Greek for "old good"; I'm quite proud of the coinage.)
