Sand Art from the Ukraine
Nov. 21st, 2009 10:11 pmI can't remember who pointed me at this--I thought it was
nancylebov, but I can't find a link on her lj.
Anyway, a surprisingly moving piece in a strange artform, courtesy of sand artist Kseniya Simonova on Ukraine's Got Talent.
I'm fairly sure that when the audience showed up to see a talent show, they weren't expecting a reenactment of the Great Patriotic War.
(according to a comment: "the words at the end are tui vsegda riadom", Russian for "you are always near", and the year, 1945.)
