Here are several videos by Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester, a German band who "specialise in recreating the sound of German dance and film music of the 1920s and 1930s" (per Wikipedia).

"Mambo No. 5"
"We Will Rock You"
"Oops, I Did It Again"
"Tainted Love"

And, as a bonus, a mashup of "Tainted Love" featuring both Max Raabe and Marilyn Manson. Alas, not as good as the concept, or as good as the mashup of Manson's "1996" with the Powerpuff Girls Theme song from a few years back.

You are, perhaps, also familiar with

1) The cover of "Oops" by Richard Thompson (yes, that Richard Thompson, the famously morose guitarist-songwriter)

2) Big Daddy, the group that does, or did, Fifties-style versions of later songs. Their "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" is one of my all-time favorites.

If you're not familiar with Thompson's 1000 Years of Popular Music, Mr. Zilla, you are hereby ordered to get familiar with it.

Spit-spot.
