Catching up on LJ slowly

Mostly as cat-vaccuuming because I'm not relishing returning to work on Tales of the Arabian Nights, which has definitely passed the "fun to work on" stage, alas.

Anyway, yesterday I saw a wonderful typo by DeDe Prinze (the former duckydoo): "Chia tea. Yum."

Then I just saw this wonderful catch by crowleycrow:

... at the gym today .... A huge room full of people expending energy but producing nothing. Watching a row of TVs turned to news and soaps and etc. Captioned. On CNN, a story about Caroline Kennedy and how nicely she's being treated by the press. Sarah Palin had been asked about this treatment of a newsworthy woman compared to her own (I guess; I find the plots of captioned news stories hard to follow). The caption: "Sarah Palin bristoled at the treatment she had received compared to Ms Kennedy." I was either the only one who noticed or the only one who thought it funny. I laughed out loud, which seems a rare thing in a gym.

Here's to a great year in typographical errors.

I read this as "Mostly cat-ass vacuuming" and thought, "Gee, you're more proactive about shedding than I am."
