Come see me and many other more interesting people

I seem to have forgotten to mention that the NYRSF Reading Series reading for this month is the special New York Review of Science Fiction 20th Anniversary reading. Founders and early luminaries--David G. Hartwell, Patrick Nielsen Hayden, Teresa Nielsen Hayden, Gordon Van Gelder, and Rob Killheffer will all be reading fascinating things that they have written with their fascinating skills, and they have to let me read some, too, because I organized the thing.

It'll be tomorrow (Sept. 9) at 7 PM, in the Melville Gallery of the South Street Seaport Museum (you know, right where all the artfully flayed bodies are), 213 Water Street, Manhattan, New York.

Come one, come all. It'll be a blast.

Actually the Bodies Exhibition has nothing to do with the South Street Seaport Museum.

I tried to artfully avoid saying that the South Street Seaport (where Bodies is) and the South Street Seaport Museum (where the reading is) are the same venues, but I guess I failed.

Hey, they're different venues.

It is nice that you wanted to explain that they are separate! People think the South Street Seaport and the South Street Seaport Museum are one in the same. What is even more unfortunate is that most people seem to think either Bodies or shopping are the only things going on in the area that the Museum gets often overlooked.

Hope the reading went well for you and I am sorry that I wasn't able to attend! It sounded like it was going to be fun.

Prior commitment + head cold, alas. I hope it went well!
