Aargh

External 500 GB hard drive just crashed.

Most of the data are either expendable or reproducible. But still.

Aargh.

Update, Sunday daylight: CHKDSK finished just as I woke up this morning and I have use of the drive again, but I don't know how much has been lost. I'm running CHKDSK again to see if it can do any more cleanup.

sorry to hear about your hard drive, that really sucks! I got an external hard drive to store music and I still haven't removed it from my main computer because I'm afraid of just that.

Gimme five bees for a quarter! And get off my lawn!

(and my own senior moment, sorry for posting anonymously first. My browser keeps logging me out of LJ and I keep not noticing.)
