Christmas lights
Dec. 24th, 2010 10:51 pmThe Peak is playing commercial-free Christmas music for 21 hours (as it does every year, 3 PM Dec 24-noon Dec 25). They just played the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo". That got me hunting for the classic video of Christmas lights synchronized to a loudspeaker playing TSO's "Wizards in Winter". (If you haven't seen that, it's a good investment of three minutes.)
A link from that page got me to this low-quality video of an absolutely astonishing house decorated in (it says) 42,000 LEDs. Beautiful in its overwhelmingness.
(The Peak also played Fleming and John's "Winter Wonderland/Misty Mountain Hop", a great little mashup. Recommended.)
