They were probably guilty of something! reminds me of the crazed government agent in Repo Man who tortures Otto while yelling "everyone's guilty of something!".
Isn't that where the agent convinces Otto's girlfriend to turn on the juice? Very reminiscent of the famous study (so famous I don't remember the institution it was at) where people were convinced to turn up the juice on a presumed victim in the name of scientific inquiry.
Which reminds me, I was in too much of a hurry to post before. I can think of more lines to add to the first paragraph.
Somebody told them to do it! Nobody told them not to! Those guys were talking a foreign language! One of them smiled! We have to set an example! The guy who did it just got a Dear John letter! He was abused, years ago! He'd been drinking! They were asking for it! They were the wrong religion! CLINTON!!
