I have been astonishingly busy since getting back from Florida, so I haven't had a chance to post. And I don't have a chance right now, really, except to ask this quick question:

Anyone here have experience with Synergy? It's a Sourceforge app which allows you to control two or more computers with the same mouse and keyboard without using a KVM.

We have both VNC and MSTSC ("Remote Desktop") at work and rely much more on the latter than the former. MSTSC does have two limitations: It only works on MS Windows machines and only one person can be logged into a single desktop session simultaneously, but neither of those really comes up that often in our work, and MSTSC is *wicked* fast and lightweight compared to the VNCs we've tried.

My initial question may actually now be moot, for work purposes anyway. What I wanted was pretty much exactly what Synergy claims to provide--the ability to run a single keyboard and mouse to two computers in their native desktops and move between them just by moving the mouse from one screen to the other. I don't mind using a KVM (I've been doing so for years), but I liked the idea of removing that barrier.
