Phishing spam
... is evolving quickly. It seems like only a month ago I got my first phish e-mail claiming to be about an eBay item I hadn't paid on. Today, I got one which set off a shocked "this must be wrong! I have to investigate!" alert that was almost tangible--a fake invoice for a $1,999.97 computer system through Amazon. (Now that Amazon sells pretty much everything, Amazon accounts are a great target for phishing.)

One of the reasons why I still access my mail primarily thru Pine & unix shell, where I can easily see the code.
At this point, I don't dare ever reactivate my old Paypal & ebay accounts. Because now I know that every email claiming to be from paypal or ebay are fake.

As for Phish -- I like them best for the covers they would do live (especially on Hallowe'en when they'd do entire albums: The Beatles, Fear of Music, and especially Quadrophenia), but if you want a Phish original for your tag, may I recommend "Jesus Left Chicago."
