Well, it's true (in the sense of "longest friendship", anyway--I've always been annoyed that the phrase "oldest friend" could mean "longest friendship" or "oldest person I'm a friend with"). There are very few people that I met before I graduated from college (other than blood relative) with whom I'm still in anything like frequent contact--only four or five, I think. Amusingly, three of them are now accessible through LJ--docbrite, sarah_ovenall, and you.

Oh, and of course my spouses--nellorat and supergee. That's somewhere more than "friend", though not technically "blood relatives".
