One of my least favorite things about colds

Waking up in the middle of the night with incessant febrile thoughtjunk. I spent about half an hour trying to convince my brain that no, I didn't have to run the end-of-day trading reports over and over again even though someone was trying to perform a functional upgrade to bring us into better compliance. No, really, I would tell my brain, it's 3:30 in the goddamn morning and I'm in bed in my pajamas; NASDAQ really isn't open right now and doesn't care.

And that summary makes more sense than what my brain was actually doing. Anyway, half an hour of reading LJ has helped settle me. Back to bed.
