Weather: go figure

The temperature outside has dropped tremendously this evening and the temperature inside the house is so wildly unevenly distributed. The AC and the heat are on different thermostats on different floors.

Which is why the heat just kicked in, with the characteristic "burning dust" smell of a heating system which has not fired up in three or four months.

I love that burning dust smell because it smells like being warm. I don't think I'd like it in August though.

Heh. I also associate it with Mom firing up the slide projector and getting the screen set up for a slide show. I've got the projector now, and the slides, but not Mom.

I think if I was abbreviating "25 or 6 to 4" I'd say "25 or 6:4."

Just overthinking.

Somewhere in the distant past, I got it into my head that the canonical name of the song was "25 or 6x4". Not sure how, and it never occurred to me to check.
