Coretta Ratt King, 2007-2010
Mar. 22nd, 2010 11:41 amCoretta was doing well under oxygen--alert, active, hoarding food--and suddenly went into cardiac arrest about ten minutes ago.
I will have a longer writeup tonight, but I will mention that her descent into illness was much more sudden than I had thought--the exotics vet examined her Friday evening and she was fine then.

Date: 2010-03-23 07:45 am (UTC)The only cure for ratsie grief is ratsie love: I spent today lining up adoptees, including four BABIES (the max that is sensible for one age; but--babies!) and maybe one older one. We usually have around ten. The rats are so delightful, but they only live 2-3 years. Many people give up on rats; anyone who does not usually has an ongoing group, which is of comfort though individuals die.
