Where I've disappeared to

I've fallen into the deep, deep hole that is Twitter. (@womzilla, unsurprisingly.) It reminds me of the good parts of Usenet (and many of the bad parts, yes, but it's even easier to filter those away) crossed with Jorn Barger's original idea of "web log" as "lots of interesting links with some commentary". I can read it in little bursts when my brain is all hurty, even at work thanks to my Pre.

So, sorry I've not updated here in a while. But I'm still out there, and I'll try to be back here soon.

Okay, that's more than I expected

Low-end iPad 2s, new, are $500. I would have thought that low-end iPad 1s would be less than half that in the aftermarket, but they're still going for $300+ on eBay.

(I continue to be annoyed at the vast number of applications available only on iOS. PalmOs is a distant third place. I thought, maybe I can grab a low-end cheap iPad in the aftermarket so that I can play Small World or King of Dragon Pass, but $300 is definitely more than an impulse purchase!)
